Eagle Insurance Deals And Eagle Cars Information

Eagle Cars are a now defunct marque of the Chrysler Car Corporation. Eagle became part of the Chrysler stable with the takeover of AMC by Chrysler. Eagle cars were firmly aimed at the Car enthusiast. The Eagle badge only survived for ten years between 1988 and 1998 but some models in the range achieved good sales the best of these was the Eagle Vision Sedan and the more sporty Eagle Talon. Originally taken from the AMC Eagle name at takeover the Eagle was retained as badge by Chrysler and a number of models were produced for the automobile enthusiast and the Eagle models were marketed through the existing AMC and Jeep dealership network. The first two Eagle Car models to be produced by Chrysler were originally designed under the AMC corporation models being produced called the Eagle Premier and Medallion.
Other Eagle models were re branded and re badge from models in the Chrysler range. Eagle was a short lived badge in part due to Chryslers financial difficulties in the early 1980s as such Chrysler injected more money into another of its previous AMC marques Jeep. Profit margins amongst dealers were greater for Jeep than the Eagle brand and as such Eagle suffered from lack of marketing amongst its piers.
After ten years of production it was decided by Chrysler to wind down and discontinue the Eagle marque with the last Eagle Models rolling off the production line in 1998. However a number of the Eagle models sold in good numbers and remembered in some affection by owners these include the AMC Eagle Wagon, Eagle Premier, Eagle Summit Wagon and the sports model the Eagle Talon.
Eagle suffered from a lack of marketing and advertising as Chrysler re aligned and placed more of its advertising budget into some of its other more profitable marques
Further market erosion was caused by Chryslers plan to market Eagle models in its Jeep dealerships. Jeep has strong market recognition and a loyal customer base and Eagle models were never held in the same esteem as the Jeep brand.
If you are the owner of and Eagle Motor car you will still be looking to find the best insurance deals possible. Many insurers will try to slash prices on policies in an effort to attract new custom. And the best place to look for deals is among the growing number of web based insurance comparison sites. Its worth noting when looking for the best deals that the customer should also take a look at the policy details it is true to say that the cheapest deal is not always the best. And you should take care to read the small print for hidden costs such as the amount of excess required to be paid by the policyholder in the event of a claim being made. Its also worth checking extras such as provision of a courtesy car and what kind of no claims bonus is in place for a new customer wishing to renew. Look now for the best deals for Eagle Insurance.

Advice and Tips

  • Always protect your no claims bonus - it may be worth paying a little extra every month to protect your no claims bonus, especially if you have built up over 3 years no claims
  • The higher your insurance premium, the more quotes you should get as you are more likely to find a better deal. If you are paying over £1000 a year it is almost certainly worth your time getting 8 to 10 insurance quotes.
  • If you are getting quotes for car insurance make sure you are clear about whether you are guaranteed a coutesy car or not. Some insurance companies include it free, others don't guarantee it, and some charge extra. Make sure you ask.
  • Think carefully about taking out additional acidental damage cover - insurers will ask if you want it but saying yes could increase your premium by a further 25% when the standard cover may be sufficient for your requirements.
